Eric Pulier Is Forming New Ideas With vAtomic Systems and XPrize
Eric Pulier has so many ideas that he’s brought to life throughout the years since the time he founded a database company way back in the 1980s, and he’s doing more of the same now in the disruptive app market. His disruptive app company is vAtomic Systems, a company that’s exploring block-chain and Bitcoin technology alongside its seeding for new business apps. Pulier had suffered a setback not too long before when a company he founded was bought only to be phased out by the buying company, but he determined to hit reset and build something even better. Pulier is hoping to see more apps like Uber come out of this seed company.
Pulier is a New Jersey native who first took up computer programming as a young boy in elementary school. All the way through high school he pursued his ambitions and took them to Harvard where he studied literature while working on computer projects at MIT. He earned bachelor’s degrees in both literature and computer science and then moved to Los Angeles to start an IT business. That business was originally known as People Doing Things, an initiative focused on local issues such as healthcare, education and environmental studies. In 1994 PDT became a company named Digital Evolution.
Eric Pulier made Digital Evolution popular with automobile manufacturers, motion picture companies, other IT companies and even the government. In 1997 he became the chosen person to host the Presidential Technology Exhibition and its “Bridge to the 21st Century.” In 1998 Digital Evolution was bought by US Interactive and Pulier became Chairman of the newly formed company. Under this new company Pulier started going into cloud technology and service-oriented architecture. His next companies that became part of these fields were Desktone, Akana and ServiceMesh.
Pulier joined the Computer Sciences Corporation when they purchased ServiceMesh and from there founded the Enterprise Leadership Council. Pulier left the company in 2013 when he decided to become a venture capital investor for startup apps and soon after started vAtomic Systems. Pulier has been listed in many IT magazines including VAR Business in their Top 30 eVisionaries list.
